Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Pocket (“the app”), you agree to these terms. Pocket is provided by Shinka (“we”, “us”). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Not financial advice

Pocket is a tool for organizing and visualizing your own financial information. Nothing in the app, including any output from the AI assistant, is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. For advice about your situation, consult a qualified professional.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pocket.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

The AI assistant and your own API key

The AI assistant runs on a Claude API key that you provide. You are responsible for that key, for any usage charges it incurs on your own Anthropic account, and for complying with Anthropic’s terms. AI responses can be inaccurate or incomplete; treat them as a starting point, not a source of truth.

Connected platforms

If you connect a third-party platform (such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Stripe, or RevenueCat), you authorize Pocket to use the access you grant to read your own data from that service. You must comply with each platform’s terms, and your use of those services is governed by them, not by us. You can disconnect at any time.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Pocket to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to access accounts that aren’t yours, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

Your content

Your financial data, notes, and project information are yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to store and display that data back to you and operate the features you use. We don’t use it to train models or sell it.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. Data shown from connected platforms and from the AI assistant may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Shinka is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any financial decisions you make, arising from your use of Pocket, the AI assistant’s output, or data from connected platforms.

Termination

You can stop using Pocket and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
