About Pocket

Pocket is a personal finance and analytics dashboard for indie developers and creators: budgets, savings goals, a calendar, multi-currency tracking, trip and event projects, an AI finance assistant, and read-only analytics from the platforms you connect.

Common questions

How do I connect YouTube, Stripe, or another platform?

Open the connections screen and authorize the platform. Pocket stores the access token encrypted and uses it to read your own analytics or revenue. You can disconnect at any time, which revokes Pocket’s access to that service.

The AI assistant says my key is missing or invalid.

The assistant uses your own Claude API key, which you add in Profile settings. Get a key from the Anthropic Console, paste it in, and note that usage is billed to your Anthropic account. A 401 error means the key is wrong; a rate-limit error means you should wait a moment and retry.

Are my receipt photos uploaded?

No. Receipt and expense photos stay on your device. Pocket asks for Camera and Photos access only so you can attach them to an expense locally.

Can I lock the app?

Yes. Enable the Face ID lock in settings to require authentication when you open Pocket.

My currency or exchange rates look off.

Set your base currency in settings. Exchange rates are fetched from a public rate service and cached, so they refresh periodically rather than in real time.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing shinkayoubi@gmail.com. Disconnecting a platform first will revoke its token.
