Terms of Use

Last updated: May 31, 2026 · Applies to MoshiMosh for iOS and Android

By creating an account or using MoshiMosh (“the app”), you agree to these terms. MoshiMosh is provided by Shinka (“we”, “us”). If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where your local law requires) to use MoshiMosh. If you are a minor, you confirm that a parent or guardian permits your use.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, keep one account per person, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Community rules

MoshiMosh has chat and social features. When interacting with others you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, bully, or hate-speech anyone.
  • Post illegal, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Spam, advertise, phish, or impersonate others.
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, or manipulate XP, streaks, leaderboards, or the shop.

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that break these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the messages you write. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display that content as needed to run the service (for example, delivering your chat messages and showing your public profile to other players). You are responsible for what you share.

Virtual items and subscriptions

Crystals and other in-game items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable. The optional Shinka Plus subscription renews automatically through Apple or Google until you cancel, which you can do anytime in your App Store or Google Play settings. Purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or the platform’s own policy. We may change prices or the contents of the shop, with notice where required.

Learning is not a guarantee

MoshiMosh is an educational tool. It helps you practise Japanese, but we don’t guarantee fluency, exam results, or any specific outcome. Language content is provided for study and may contain errors.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Shinka is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MoshiMosh, including lost progress, lost streaks, or content shared between users.

Termination

You can stop using MoshiMosh and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service and its users.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes that can’t be resolved informally will be handled by arbitration seated in Toronto, Ontario, to the extent permitted by law.
